Benefits of Naturopathic Medicine

Holistic, Whole-Body

Address Cause of Symptoms

Restore Optimal Health

I have seen a lot of doctors in my life, and Dr. Drain hands down surpasses them all. As a nutritionist, I know the importance of supplementation.  I went to Bryan when I had problems with my hormones.  I was exhausted and could barely function.  Bryan took me under his care, and my life has completely turned around.  I went from barely surviving to completely thriving again.  I can’t thank him enough.

What is Naturopathic Medicine?

According to the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges, naturopathic medicine combines the wisdom of nature with the rigors of modern science. Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are trained as primary care providers who diagnose, treat and manage patients with acute and chronic conditions, while addressing disease and dysfunction at the level of body, mind, and spirit.

NDs concentrate on whole patient wellness through health promotion and disease  prevention, while addressing the underlying cause of the patient’s condition. They provide individualized, evidence-informed therapies that balance the least harmful and most e!ective approaches in order to help facilitate the body’s
inherent ability to restore and maintain optimal health. Naturopathic doctors are experts in natural medicine, and naturopathic medical education is the most e#cient and direct way to train as a primary care doctor who specializes in natural medicine.

How does Naturopathic Medicine Work?

The goal of naturopathic medicine is to treat the whole person – that means mind, body, and spirit. It also aims to heal the root causes of an illness, not just the symptoms.

At Regenerative Wellness Clinic, our Naturopathic Doctors may spend 1 to 2 hours getting to know you. They’ll ask questions about your health history, stress levels, and lifestyle habits, and may order lab tests.

Afterwards, they’ll discuss your personal health plan. Naturopathic medicine focuses on education and prevention, so your doctor may give you diet, exercise, or stress management tips. They might use complementary medicine – like homeopathy, herbal medicine, IV therapies, and acupuncture – in addition to naturopathic treatments. They may also use touch, such as massage and pressure, to create balance in your body. This is called naturopathic manipulative therapy.
